Our admiration and appreciation for the Bettinelli family and the land they have developed and cared for throughout Napa Valley runs deep. In 2014 they embarked on a new endeavor, “Upper Range”, to develop a complex, multi-faceted 100-acre vineyard on a former cattle ranch sprawling between the Rutherford AVA and east to Lake Hennessey and Pritchard Hill. Similar to Ecotone, Upper Range is a unique site, offering potential for some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Napa Valley.
The vineyard was planted and is farmed with the same meticulous attention to detail and viticultural quality that characterize all Bettinelli endeavors; we feel fortunate to receive fruit from this exceptional terroir. This is the newest vineyard site we currently source, and the fruit will make its debut in our inaugural 2018 Accendo Cellars “Laurea”, a Napa Valley red wine. Wines produced from Terravina are impressive: delicate, nuanced red fruit flavors couple perfectly with a medium body and succulent texture, all framed by soft, fine-grained tannins.
